Fashion Show
* 10:30pm in the USA themed room
2008 was a year that marked monumental
achievements among women, specially in politics.
The purpose of the fashion show is to celebrate
these accomplishments while at the same time
acknowledge the challenges that women face in a
male dominated world. Thus the theme of the show
is "Women in Men-inspired wear," which will
elevate the traditional menswear costume into an
edgy, provocative, and classy display of
femininity. |
| Wendy Nguyen is a
banker by day but a designer by night. She had
previously produced and organized the successful
BARE fashion show at the Westin St. Francis to
raise awareness about poverty. She is currently
working on her own handbag line labelled Nhu Nhu,
which uses environmentally-friendly leather and
fabrics. She strives for her designs to be
timeless and purposeful |
